Accepting life’s uncertainty.

Once upon a time, there was a farmer who owned a beautiful horse. One day, the horse ran away, and the neighbors came to the farmer to express their sympathy. However, the farmer simply replied, “Who knows what’s good or bad?”

A few days later, the horse returned with a group of wild horses. The neighbors came back to the farmer, congratulating him on his good fortune. But the farmer once again replied, “Who knows what’s good or bad?”

The farmer’s son decided to ride one of the wild horses, but he fell and broke his leg. The neighbors came back to express their condolences, but the farmer replied once again, “Who knows what’s good or bad?”

Moral stories

A few weeks later, the army came to the village to recruit young men to fight in a war. However, the farmer’s son was exempted from service because of his broken leg. The neighbors came back to congratulate the farmer, but he replied, “Who knows what’s good or bad?”

The moral of the story is that we never know what the future holds, and what seems good or bad at the moment may turn out to be the opposite in the long run. Therefore, we should avoid judging situations too quickly and learn to accept what comes our way with an open mind.

Motivational Story in English -4

Happiness is like water.

Once upon a time, there was a very wise old man who lived in a small village. He was respected and admired by all the people in the village for his wisdom and knowledge. One day, a young man came to him and asked, “Old man, can you tell me the secret of happiness?”

The old man smiled and said, “Yes, I can, but first you must do something for me. Take this basket and fill it with water from the river, but you must not spill a single drop.”

The young man took the basket and went to the river. He tried his best to fill it with water, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t keep the water from spilling out. He returned to the old man, feeling disappointed and frustrated.

The old man asked him, “What happened? Did you spill any water?”

The young man replied, “Yes, I did. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t keep the water from spilling out.”

The old man smiled and said, “That’s the secret of happiness. Just as you cannot keep the water from spilling out of the basket, you cannot hold onto happiness. Happiness is like water – it flows through your life, and you must enjoy it while it lasts. But don’t try to hold onto it, or it will slip away from you. Instead, appreciate it and be grateful for the time you have with it.”

The young man understood the old man’s wisdom and went back to his life with a new appreciation for the moments of happiness that he would experience. From that day on, he lived a happy and contented life, knowing that happiness is not something that can be grasped and held onto, but something that should be cherished in the moment

Motivational Story in English -5

anger is like throwing stones into a river,

Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a wise old man. He was known for his kindness and wisdom, and people from all over the village would come to seek his advice and guidance.

One day, a young boy came to the old man and asked, “Old man, I am feeling very angry and upset. My friend has done something very wrong to me, and I don’t know what to do.

“The wise old man listened patiently and then took the boy to a nearby river. He handed the boy a handful of stones and told him to throw them into the river, one by one, while thinking about his anger.

The boy did as he was told, throwing the stones one by one into the river, thinking about his anger with each throw. As he threw the last stone, he looked up at the wise old man, confused.

The old man then said, “Now, go to the river and try to take back all the stones you threw in.

“The boy went to the river and realized that he could not take back any of the stones he had thrown. The wise old man then said, “Just like these stones, once you have thrown your anger out into the world, it is very difficult to take it back. Instead of letting anger control you, learn to control your anger.

“The boy realized the wisdom in the old man’s words and left feeling much more peaceful and centered.

The moral of the story is that anger is like throwing stones into a river, once it’s thrown, it cannot be taken back. Therefore, it’s important to learn to control our anger and not let it control us.
